About The Event
For all you busy parents out there getting ready for the big Thanksgiving Holiday, let's gather the kids in one spot for learning and playing in the great outdoors. In late fall and winter our outdoor surroundings completely change opening up an entirely new world of adventure, exploration, and learning. The fire will be blazing upon arrival and the setting for the day cannot be better. Located in south Johnson County the kids will be hiking, climbing trees, playing games, hanging out in the Teepee, playing with goats and chickens, feeding the ducks....we'll be playing kickball and football, and hide and seek. In addition to kids just being kids, we'll be using nature as our science lab for discovery and experiments. We'll take time to learn about our surroundings....the rivers, the animals, the plants....exploring areas usually under wraps during the spring and summer. We'll stay warm because we're active and having fun. We'll even bust out the drones for aerial exploration and learning. This camp will be hosted in parntership with the Blue River Forest Experience. For ages 2nd - 5th grade.
