I think this project is really cool. This does require a couple parts you might not have around the house. If it will take some time to round up the parts then simply save this project for another day while the parts come in. The full equipment list is in the link below.

The Hobby Motor will most likely need to be ordered online because all of the stores are closed. I know Hobby Lobby would normally have them.
This experiment uses mechanical and electrical engineering principles. The included website provides great information on all the STEM at work in this experiment.
